Vision Service Recap
What an amazing day in church this past Sunday! Vision service was, in my opinion, a big success! The service had a great spirit, was well attended, and saw many folks sign up to help this year with a ministry of some type! Over 50 individual ministry slots were filled with a name! I’m so proud of the church that God is allowing me to pastor. Most of all, there was a good response to the call for prayer meetings each Sunday at 10 AM. I’m very excited to see how the Lord blesses when we begin to ask Him for His help in our church! Those prayer meetings will start on the morning of the 29th. I’m anxious and excited to see the response at the first meeting!
If you signed up to help in a ministry of some type, you should be getting an email or call no later than January 28th with instructions on what you’ll be doing and when, as well as where to meet your ministry team each Sunday to pray. Many of you volunteered in multiple ministries. For those folks, I’ll let you know which ministry to pray with each Sunday based on the size of the group meeting to pray. My hope and prayer is that everyone who is in a ministry, not just the ones on the rotation for that Sunday, will meet and pray with their teams. You may not serve each Sunday, but we can all pray that God uses those who are!
Lastly, I want to say how thankful I am to be a part of this church. You guys really do make it easy to lead and pastor Family Baptist Church. I could not ask for a better group of church members and I’m excited to see where the new year will lead us. Last year was difficult for many in our church and the later part of the year saw a drop in attendance, giving, and most of all, morale. So many of us have been and still are going through so much. I feel like 2023 could be changing for the better! We’ve had great services each Sunday since the start of the year. The Vision Service was a great success. I’m praying that by our 10th-anniversary celebration (April 16th), each aspect of our church will be at an all-time high! I know God can do it if we ask Him to!
Things to pray for in our church:
God to lead and bless us
A humble and Christ-centered attitude in our church family
Our ministries to flourish and prayer to be a preeminent part of our church
More families would join our church, both by us seeing people saved and by saved folks in need of a church finding us.
Giving to the ministry in tithes and to the building fund to get back to where it should be.
See our community changed for the better because of our love for Christ and love for others.
Eph. 3:20 - Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us,
